O-ring F (ISO general industrial)

Basic housing dimensions (by cross-section)

Groove sections matched to the ISO 3601-2 size series. They depend only on the O-ring cross-section.

Notes

  • References
    • JIS B 2401-2 (2012) Annex JA
  • The metric table lists the sizes whose mating diameters come out at round numbers. The designations are a subset of the cylindrical-face table, and t is an extra reference value (close to the groove depth). Rows marked as recommending a custom inside diameter are those where a custom O-ring gives the best seal.
  • For d for pistons3 the tolerance class changes from row to row (h6 / h8 / h9), becoming looser as the designation grows.
  • The designation system differs from the P, G and V series, which are specific to JIS. Do not mix them.
