C形軸用偏心止め輪（呼び 10〜120）JIS B 2804:2010 表16軸の溝へ外側からはめる、最も一般的な止め輪です。円環部の幅が周方向で変わる（偏心）ため、開いたときも軸に沿います。適用する軸の溝寸法も同じページに載せています。C形穴用偏心止め輪（呼び 10〜125）JIS B 2804:2010 表17穴の溝へ内側から広げてはめる止め輪です。軸用と記号は同じですが、溝は穴より大きい側へ切ります。適用する穴の溝寸法も同じページに載せています。C形軸用同心止め輪（呼び 20〜200）JIS B 2804:2010 表18円環部の幅が一定（同心）で、取付け穴を持たない軸用の止め輪です。偏心形より呼びの範囲が大きい側へ伸びます。適用する軸の溝寸法も同じページに載せています。C形穴用同心止め輪（呼び 20〜200）JIS B 2804:2010 表19円環部の幅が一定（同心）の穴用の止め輪です。適用する穴の溝寸法も同じページに載せています。E形止め輪（呼び 0.8〜24）JIS B 2804:2010 表20軸の横から差し込む小径向けの止め輪です。呼びは溝の径で決まり、適用できる軸径は区分（を超え／以下）で示されます。グリップ止め輪（呼び 2〜10）JIS B 2804:2010 表21溝を切らずに軸をつかんで留める止め輪です。溝寸法の代わりに、保持できるアキシアル荷重が規定されています。

A small-diameter ring pushed sideways into a groove in the shaft. The designation equals the nominal inside diameter d of the ring, and Applicable shaft diameter d₁ is given as a range (over / up to). Unlike Type C, the designation and the shaft diameter do not correspond one to one.
