MS Lab LLC ("we", "us" or "our") handles the user information it obtains in providing Updraft (the "Service") appropriately, in accordance with the policy set out below.Article 1 (Information We Collect)
We may collect the following information.
- Registration information such as your name, email address, and password
- Access logs (IP address, browser information, device information), together with the IP address at the time of posting and other sender information (see Article 4 for details)
- Cookies and other identifiers (see Article 5 for details)
- Records of your use of the Service (see Article 3 for details)
- Survey responses (see Article 3 for details)
- Content posted through the community features and information relating to those posts, together with the display name, self-introduction, profile picture (icon), and other information registered as your profile (see Article 4 for details)
- Payment information for paid plans (collected through a payment processing service)
Article 2 (Purposes of Use)
We use the information we collect for the following purposes.
- Providing and operating the Service
- Contacting you for user support
- Analysis for improving the Service and developing new features
- Preventing unauthorized use and maintaining security
- Complying with laws and regulations and taking any necessary measures
- Providing the community features (publishing posts and displaying them to other users)
- Responding to disputes concerning posts and to requests for disclosure under laws and regulations
Article 3 (Usage Records)
To improve the Service and to develop new features, we record how users use the Service while logged in. The items we record are as follows.
- The URL of each page viewed and the date and time of viewing
- The numerical values entered and the units selected in the design calculation features, and the results calculated
- The operation history of the input assistance features (entering values from lists of options, displaying explanations of items)
In addition, to improve the Service, we display surveys to users who are logged in and record the responses provided. Responding is optional. If you do not respond, or if you close the survey, this will not affect your use of the Service.
Survey responses are stored in association with your account. We will not make individual responses public (our authorized personnel may view them for the purpose of improvement). We use them only to improve the Service and to develop new features, and we will not provide them to third parties except as provided in Article 6. Your responses may be linked to the company name, industry, and similar details you registered, but we will not make them public other than in aggregated statistical form, and we will not use them for research on any specific company or for sales activities by us or by any third party. If you wish to have your responses disclosed, corrected, or deleted, please contact us as provided in Article 8. Please do not enter personal information or confidential information in the free-text fields.
We do not create the records described above for pages viewed while you are not logged in (except for measurement by Google Analytics as described in Article 5).
The numerical values entered in the design calculation features may contain information relating to your work. We use them for statistical analysis, analysis of individual usage, and detection of defects, and we do not use them for any purpose other than providing and improving the Service. We also do not provide them to third parties except as required by law.
The information recorded under this Article (including survey responses) may be viewed by our authorized personnel in order to improve the Service and to detect defects. Such viewing is limited to the purposes stated above, and we will not provide the information to third parties except as provided in Article 6.
To identify the organization a user belongs to for the purpose of analysis, we store the part of the email address after the "@" (the domain). We do not store the full email address in association with usage records.
We retain usage records for as long as necessary to improve the Service and delete them once they are no longer needed.
If you cancel your account, we will delete the registered details that can identify you — your name, its reading, phone number, company name, department and job title — except where retention is required by law. We will also delete the project folders and calculation results you have saved.
Profile Information (as defined in Article 4) is deleted as well, as set out in that article.
After cancellation we retain attributes that do not identify you, such as gender, age group, prefecture, industry, company size and purpose of use. The usage records described in this article and your survey answers are also, once the deletion above has left them in a state where you can no longer be identified, retained and used to improve the service and develop new features. We do not link them back to the person who cancelled.
Cancelling your account does not delete the account held by the authentication service you sign in with, including its email address. If you sign in again with the same account, we treat it as a new registration. If you would like that account deleted as well, please contact us as set out in Article 8.
Article 4 (Handling of Posts on the Community Features)
We record the content that users post on the community features of the Service (the "Posted Information") and the date and time of each post.
The display name, self-introduction, profile picture (icon), and other information that you register as your profile on the Service (the "Profile Information") is included in Posted Information.
Of Posted Information, the list of posts and their titles are published where anyone can view them, including people who are not logged in. The body of a post and its replies are published where they can be viewed by users who are logged in to the Service. Posted Information is information intended to be made public. It is handled differently from the survey responses described in Article 3, which we do not make public.
Please do not post information by which you do not wish to be identified, confidential business information, or the personal information of third parties. What you post is placed where other users may view it.
For the proper operation of the community features, our authorized personnel may view Posted Information.
We may delete Posted Information that violates the Terms of Service, or make it private. Posted Information that has been deleted or made private is retained as a record for a certain period.
In order to respond to requests for disclosure concerning posts made under laws and regulations, we record and retain, together with the Posted Information, the IP address at the time of posting and other sender information.
Even if you cancel your account, Posted Information remains on the Service. In that case, the display of the poster is changed to one that does not identify the user.
Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, Profile Information does not remain on the Service when you cancel your account. We delete it, except where we are required by laws and regulations to retain it.

Article 6 (Provision to Third Parties)
Except as required by law, we will not provide personal information to third parties without the consent of the individual concerned.

Article 8 (Disclosure, Correction, and Deletion)
You may request that we disclose, correct, or delete your own personal information.
