Parallel key, one round end, tapped — From torque
Use this when the torque on the shaft is known. From the width, the key length, the shaft diameter, the tapped-hole diameter, and the torque it finds the area in shear, the shear force and the shear stress. A parallel key with one round end loses effective length at the rounded end.
