- Min. a is the width of the opening, Min. b its height, and Limit c the limit on the distance from the bend line to the hole.
- Where the opening is narrower than a, or the bend is acute, the hole position is governed by the minimum hole-to-bend distance instead of limit c.
- Automatic quoting is not available where the opening is shorter than b, or shorter than the outer radius of the bend.
- Where the neighbouring hole is a burred and tapped hole, limit c is 3.0 mm regardless of size.
- Note that meviy measures from where the chamfer or fillet begins, so a chamfered or filleted corner changes which dimension is checked.
- Actual manufacturing limits vary between suppliers. Check with your sheet metal fabricator for the values that apply to your parts.
